The poem 'Flying Man' is a short and sweet conversation a child has with a man they see flying in the sky. Understanding the Poem Stanza by Stanza

Stanza 1:
"Flying man, Flying man,
Up in the sky,
Where are you going to,
Flying so high?"

In these first lines, the child sees the Flying Man and is immediately filled with wonder. The child calls out to him, asking a simple but important question: "Where are you going?" The child is amazed that he is flying so high up, far away from the ground.

Stanza 2:
"Over the mountains,
And over the sea,
